On December 2, PARKOVYI Data Center joined the strategic dialogue “Ukraine’s Digital Sovereignty: Challenges and Areas for Cooperation,” where representatives of government, business, and international organizations discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine’s digital resilience.
Volodymyr Pokatilov, Director, and Oleh Haiduk, Advisor on AI and Innovation at PARKOVYI Data Center, together with representatives of government institutions, the technology sector, and business, discussed data preservation, the development of digital infrastructure, the adaptation of European practices, and a framework for further actions aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s digital resilience.
The position of PARKOVYI Data Center
As a co-founder and member of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance of Ukraine (DSUA), PARKOVYI Data Center sees its role in ensuring:
- a resilient and secure infrastructure for public and commercial services
- favorable conditions for hosting and protecting critically important government data within Ukraine
- a technological foundation for building digital independence
- the development of unique cloud services that unite the market around security and transparency
During the meeting, DSUA Executive Director Tetiana Khabibrakhmanova presented a strategic vision for the development of Ukraine’s digital sovereignty and showcased the technological capabilities of the companies that are part of the Alliance. Ukraine is not building digital sovereignty “from scratch” — we can learn from those who have already gone down this path. Today, the European Union defines digital sovereignty as one of its key strategic priorities for the decade.
During the discussion, international experience and approaches were shared by:
- Manuel Mateo Goyet – Acting Head of the Cloud and Software Unit, DG CONNECT, European Commission
- Tõnu Grünberg – Deputy Secretary General for Digital Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs of Estonia
- Francesco Bonfiglio – Advisory Board Member at Innovate Europe Foundation and former CEO of the Gaia-X Association
For Ukraine, digital sovereignty is an element of national security. We are convinced that through the joint efforts of the state, business, and international partners, Ukraine is capable of building a digital ecosystem that is not only secure, but also independent of external political risks. PARKOVYI Data Center will continue to contribute to this shared mission.
