The “PARKOVYI” Data Center has become a co-founder of the Public Union “Ukrainian Digital Sovereignty Alliance,” which unites Ukrainian cloud providers and data centers to strengthen national digital independence. Among the first participants are cloud providers and data centers GigaCloud, De Novo, and the “PARKOVYI” Data Center.

The goal of the Alliance is to ensure Ukraine’s digital sovereignty — that is, the storage, processing, and protection of critical state, medical, financial, and defense data exclusively within Ukraine’s borders and in compliance with Ukrainian legislation.

“We have united our efforts to create a national cloud ecosystem that will not only be secure but also independent from external political risks. Digital sovereignty will be the foundation for a new, resilient Ukraine,” say the representatives of the Alliance.

Why is this important?

The war, global geopolitical instability, and the growing cyber threats have highlighted the vulnerability of the national digital infrastructure. Currently, state data continues to be stored under the management of foreign cloud providers. Meanwhile, the issue of returning such data under Ukrainian jurisdiction has become more urgent than ever.

Among the key areas of the Alliance’s work are conducting a technological audit of Ukraine’s digital infrastructure and developing standards for cloud solutions. We are convinced that coordinated efforts will open a range of strategic opportunities for the country, including:

• Creation of a scalable, geo-distributed infrastructure between Ukrainian providers’ sites
  
• Establishment of unified standards for cloud and infrastructure solutions
  
• Seamless data transfer between cloud environments of different Ukrainian cloud providers without technical barriers or vendor lock-in
  
• Ensuring the stability and protection of user data, even in critical situations
  
• Implementation of the Data Embassy policy and use of effective cybersecurity solutions to enhance the overall digital resilience of the state
  

The Alliance is open to partnerships with companies that share its values: data centers, infrastructure operators, software companies, and relevant public organizations.
